Is this harder than using the mouse?
Of course, for the same reason that playing pad DDR is harder than using the keyboard. Moving your whole body is more difficult than shifting your hand half an inch, and it's difficult to get used to: like with driving, it takes some time to avoid overcompensating for mistakes in balance. Nonetheless, I think it's much more fun than using the mouse.
Is this cheating?
No. In fact, it's actually harder than using the mouse or keyboard.
What's Surfmode?
It emulates riding a surfboard; i.e. you lean forward and backwards to control the vehicle. As such, your Balance Board should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise while playing.
Where's Double Vision?
Double Vision is unsupported due to me not owning two Balance Boards. I thought about a "couples mode" where two people stand on the balance board holding one another and each playing Surfmode with half the board, but figured that the weight limit of the board could very easily be exceeded this way. If there's enough interest in a Wiimote + Balance Board Double Vision, I might put that out in the next version.
